:: Song of the day :: Step Outside by José González

It doesn't really match the blog entry, but I like this song a lot... :P It's from the movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" - you should watch it if you haven't already, especially if you are a fan of beautifully framed scenes, indie band soundtracks, nature, Iceland, and Ben Stiller (he's not that funny in this movie though).

Anyway, my blog is named "needles and mouse" because I have many hobbies that involve some sort of needle. I like to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, sew... sometimes I feel like I have too many hobbies but I still wanna try embroidery, quilt making, and weaving... oh boy, what's wrong with me. :P

Well, I made a bag the other day, it took me about 3-4 days.

I think it will make a great beach bag. Whenever people look at what I made, they ask, "Can you make me one?" I feel bad saying no so please don't ask me that question... it's just impossible to make one for everyone, but I would be glad to lend you my crochet book/pattern or teach you how to make it. :)

I would like to give special thanks to my hubby who untangled the yarn for me as I was crocheting. :D In the past I've tried to untangle that monster and have felt so miserable after wrestling with it for hours. But it blessed me so much to watch JM patiently working through my yarn, sacrificing his reading time, so I won't have to relive that traumatic moment again. Half of the work in making this bag was done by you, hubby!
