I made myself a calendar with the remaining months of 2014, so I can keep track of my "not-too-late" resolutions for the year.
1. Spend time with God before getting online (daily)
2. Take my supplements & take a 30 min feet bath (daily)
3. Exercise at least 2 hours a week (weekly)
4. Spend time with a leader from New Philly Sillim (weekly)
5. Do one design project a month (monthly)
I color coordinated each item so I can cover the calendar with 5 colorful circles by the end of the year. The list came about after having some reflection time on my previous 8 months of this year and asking God what are some things that I should make my priority. It's quite do-able and friendly looking so I can rejoice over little achievements and get pumped to do harder things! ;)
Such a simply but beautiful calendar! Did you draw it on a standard sheet of paper or is it slightly bigger? I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's 7 in x 10 in, I ripped off a sheet from my sketchbook. ;)
DeleteHello! I'm very happy to have found your blog :) I was actually on my explore page on instagram and I saw your pictures how lovely they are! I soon came to realize you serve at an orphanage in SK. What a beautiful desire God has put on your heart. I do have a question if you don't mind me asking, how was is that the Lord revealed to you that he wanted you to go back to SK and serve in the orphanage? I have a huge heart for missions right now and I'm praying for his direction going to college next year, which is a little scary.
ReplyDeleteHi Dana~ It's a long story, but to sum it up, I started praying and asking God for my specific calling as I was working as a graphic designer because I felt like God had more for me than the life I was living. I made a list of different places and career options and started praying and fasting for God to guide me, and I was able to get clarity about going to South Korea after a few months. God crossed things off the list by speaking to me through people I could trust, sermons, reading the Bible, and sometimes even dreams.
DeleteI came to Korea out of obedience to God in 2010, wanting to serve people who are struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, and when I came out God guided me step by step to work with children first by giving me a teaching job (I taught Art) at an international school to meeting my husband who is running an orphanage ministry.
Trust that God knows the plans he has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). And ask him to lead you step by step, and he will surely take care of your future. :)
Thank you so much for your reply. I just saw it now. I really appreciate you taking time to reply :) that is such an awesome story of how God had shown you your calling. He is so detailed and particular it's amazing. I'm praying for you! Again, thank you very much
